Guild Ranks
Guild Maestro: There can only be one and it is the person who started the guild. Has full access to all guild functions.
Chief Outbacker: In this case, the Chief functions as a co-guildmaster
Officers: These are people who take on particular responsibilities in order to help the guild function better.
- Bank Manager: The bank manager keeps an eye on the guild bank transactions, as well as helps manage bank inventory. This may mean contacting members who are abusing bank privileges, regularly running a guild bank addon that stacks bank inventory and cleaning out inappropriate bank inventory. This officer also regularly reminds members about available items in the guild bank and runs give-aways of excess bank items. This officer also helps to promote our weekly raffles through guild chat.
- Recruit Manager: The ideal recruit manager is someone who likes to interface with the large ESO community in all of the factional zones in order to recruit members. This means spending time talking to potential members, issuing invitations to the guild and answering questions - often the same ones over and over again! It is important that this officer has alts/toons/characters in each of the three factions. Once a member joins, this officer would also help educate our members about the resources available within the guild.
- Events Manager: The function of our events manager is to create/manage/run events of interest to our members. This may include things like travel events, fishing expeditions or group dungeon runs. This officer does not need to run each event, but would coordinate with others to make sure that the event happens. This officer is also responsible for promoting these events to the guild membership.
- Members Officer: The members officer is responsible for promoting Recruits to members. This means making sure that the potential members have followed the promotion protocol. The members officer also communicates with new members and answers membership questions.
Generous Outback Trader: This designation is given to any guild member who significantly impacts the guild in terms of donating time, talents, or energy to the guild OR who gives items of substance for the weekly guild raffles. It is through the generosity of such members that we can continue to offer cool prizes in order to raise funds for hiring our guild trader. Generous OTs are vital to helping the guild stay successful.
Founding Member: This rank was bestowed on the first 50 people who joined our guild.
Member: Recruits may request member status by providing they have read the guild bank guidelines. On that page there is information on how to be promoted. This process has been implemented to minimize bank raiding by bots and also to reduce the number of guild bank warning letters to be sent out. Once promoted, members have access to the guild bank and to invite people to the guild.
Recruit: A recruit is any member who has joined the guild, but not requested membership as outlined on the guild bank guidelines page. Members who abuse the bank may receive a warning and reset to recruit level. They must then go back through the guild bank guidelines to request membership again. Abusing bank a second time will result in immediate removal from the guild without further warning. Egregious bank raiding may also trigger immediate removal from the guild as well.
A label that may be placed by your name on the roster is a Prolific Outback Trader (OT). This designation is given to any guild member, regardless of rank, if they are one of the top ten sellers in the guild. This will be updated weekly. Probably Sunday (Australia Time).
Only members+ may invite new members to the guild. This is to help battle bot issues. If you are not a member and know of someone who would like to join, you should be able to contact an officer or someone in guild chat to send the invite.
